Students have the chance to get a head start in pursuing their interests in medicine or veterinary medicine through St. George’s University Med/Vet Summer Leadership Academy , an immersive summer program.
Program Overview
The Med/Vet Summer Leadership Academy offers high school and college students a 10-day immersive experience on the beautiful Caribbean Island of Grenada, West Indies. It goes beyond textbooks, providing an authentic glimpse into the journey of becoming not just doctors and veterinarians, but leaders in their chosen professions and in the world.
Our preclinical and pre-veterinary tracks combine engaging lectures, practical lab work, field trips, and team-building events. Participants gain hands-on training through simulated and real-life leadership experiences, all while earning valuable college credit.
Life Beyond the Classroom
Life at the Med/Vet Summer Leadership Academy isn’t all about work. Students will be able to experience everything the island has to offer—from snorkeling and swimming to hiking and sunbathing on the sandy shores of Grand Anse Beach, just steps away from their classes. There's also the opportunity to explore the surrounding countryside, including the Grand Etang Forest Reserve and beautiful Concord Falls—two “must-see” attractions in Grenada.
