For 50 years, the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) has been on a mission to build healthier communities and improve health outcomes for tens of millions of Americans. The NHSC improves health in areas of need by supporting qualified health care providers who are dedicated to working in areas of the U.S. with limited access to care. So far, more than 66,000 NHSC clinicians have touched the lives of the patients they’ve served. In exchange for service, the NHSC offers several programs to offset the cost of education for health professionals.
The NHSC offers three programs that are designed to offset the expense of education for health professionals in exchange for service in high-need communities:
- Students to Service Loan Repayment
- Loan Repayment
- Scholarship
