Conference on Virtual Medicine 2023

For decades, scientists have been quietly discovering the surprising health benefits of virtual reality (VR) for ailments ranging from burn injuries, to stroke, to PTSD, to schizophrenia. Over ten thousand studies reveal that VR can lower pain, help manage anxiety, and support mental health. VR is helping to deliver babies, enabling soldiers to cope with the mental scars of war, and treating conditions from irritable bowel syndrome to hypertension. VR is not just for gamers anymore; it is a new type of mind-body medicine. Developed by the Cedars-Sinai Virtual Medicine program with support from the Marc and Sheri Rapaport Fund for Digital Health Sciences and Precision Health, the annual vMed conference is a two-day symposium that convenes the brightest minds in Medical Extended Reality (MXR).

At vMed23, participants will learn from case studies, didactic lectures, and patient vignettes to achieve the following aims:
  1. Learn best practices for implementing MXR into clinical practice
  2. Review evidence supporting the efficacy of MXR applications for patient care
  3. Hear from patients who have used MXR therapeutics
  4. Study uses of MXR for clinical simulation and provider training
  5. Discuss the economics, payer perspectives, and regulatory landscape of MXR
The last in-person vMed was sold out. Reserve your spot for vMed23!
