| Maggie Clifford: Undergraduate Visiting Lecturer
Welcome our new faculty member Maggie Clifford π Maggie will be joining us as our undergraduate visiting lecturer beginning August, teaching Music In Medicine.
Maggie Clifford brings an interdisciplinary background in music composition & performance, academic teaching & research, and community engagement. She has recorded music for film (e.g. ELENA, 2013; Grammy-nominated The King, 2017), facilitated participatory music events in in-patient settings across the US, and recently signed with record label Spirit House Records on her most recent single (2022). Maggie completed her master’s degree at UF in Environmental Education and Communication in 2016 and is currently working on her Ph. D. in Communication at American University in Washington, DC, where she has focused on digital cultures, climate change, and “climate art." She is looking forward to opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration, teaching, and learning at the Center. |

Public Art IS Public Health: Artists in Residency
For their 2023 season, Franconia is asking how we can discuss well-being through the lens of public art. Franconia is providing a communal residency experience where up to 18 selected artists live on-site to generate artwork that investigates and explores intersectional impacts between public art and public health.
