June 15 is the final deadline for the fall 2022 cohort of the UCSF Master of Science in Global Health program. If you are on the path to health professional school or a health-related job and you have an interest in global health, apply now to start this 11-month, full-time program in September 2022.

Admissions criteria

Competitive applicants have the following qualifications:

  • 3.0 GPA minimum
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of at least one college-level course in each of the following areas, with at least a B grade: 1) mathematics 2) general biology, 3) health-related science, or a second biology course

The master’s program places a high value on the diversity of students who matriculate and reviews all applicants in a holistic manner. Applicants who come from traditionally underrepresented populations and students who have faced hardships are encouraged to apply.

On International Nurses Day we shared an update from Katie Morales, MS ’18, who has been working as a Nurse Practitioner and soon will join the U.S. Department of State Foreign Service to manage various health units. She said, “I truly believe the global health master’s contributed to my qualifying for this job.”
