The AACOMAS 2022-2023 application cycle is now open!AACOMAS is the Centralized Application Service (CAS) for AACOM, founded in 1898 to lend support and assistance to the nation's osteopathic medical schools, and serve as a unifying voice for osteopathic medical education. Key changes this cycle include:
- Increased application fees
- Addition of a DACA custom question
- Updated social media links
- Enhanced MCAT handling, summarized below:
Starting in the 2022-2023 cycle, AACOM applicants will be required to report all MCAT test scores in every cycle. The applicant reported MCAT section has been removed and applicants will indicate taking the MCAT, along with their AAMC ID, in a new custom section of the application. This information will be used for matching test scores to applicants.
As MCAT scores no longer carry over from cycle to cycle, and students are required to request them anew for each cycle, we want to be proactive and assure that we are aligned on policy regarding this new requirement.
Scenario:
Student contacts Liaison Customer Service inquiring why MCAT scores are not showing on their 2022-2023 application.

Scenario:
Student contacts Liaison Customer Service inquiring why MCAT scores are not showing on their 2022-2023 application.
- Customer service will ask "Have you resent your test scores on or after May 4, 2022?"
- If "no", the student will be advised to resend the scores.
- If "yes",
- Customer service will confirm that the student has affirmed the scores were resent on or after May 4, 2022, and document the management portal with this affirmation.
- This could result in a conduct/irregularity violation if it is determined that the affirmation was false
- Customer service will search for test scores and post any available scores that are found within the system.
If no scores are found, customer service will, after trouble shooting is completed and no score is found, advise the applicant she must contact AAMC to have the scores sent again.
**The help center has already been updated with guidance for the new process of updating MCAT information in the "Other Information" section of the application.
