Hello! The pre-health advising office is looking for peer advisors for the 2022-23 school year. We are looking for dedicated students interested in pursuing a health profession. Peer advisors are a valuable asset in the pre-health advising office as they are often a first point of contact for students to prepare for a health professions program and in providing services such as planning coursework and finding experiences. Additionally, peer advisors frequently present to clubs and classrooms to spread awareness of our services and provide more general information to the student body. Eligibility:
- Undergraduate Cal Poly student (graduating no earlier than winter 2023, ability to work through June 2023)
- Upper-division, third or fourth year standing (by start of fall 2022)
- Minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA
- Must have a demonstrated interest in pursuing a health profession career
- Be available to work approximately 8-10 hours per week
- One year commitment (September ‘22-June ‘23)
- Students eligible for Federal Work Study are strongly encouraged to apply
- Visit with a peer-advisor and discuss the position with them before applying
