Title: Scribe and Clinical Assistant
This is a unique opportunity to learn a great deal about medicine, and orthopedic musculoskeletal injuries in a wide variety of patients of all ages. We treat mostly adults but see children and teenagers as well. There is a wide scope of medical presentations. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the practice of medicine, how a private practice runs, and how to write a medical report. You will have superior preparation for medical school and residency.
Job Description: Highlights include being in the room with patients taking down a medical history, observing and recording physical examinations, helping with assessment and plans for treatment. You will also assist in the clinic and help to improve office workflow. There is an opportunity for observation in surgery of these same patients. Progressive learning and graduated increase in responsibilities and work load.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree from a 4-year University.
- Plan to become a Medical Doctor (M.D. or D.O.)
- Completion of the MCAT preferred.
- A significant interest in sports or exercise is a plus but not required.
- One year or greater commitment (you may not apply to a medical program if it would compromise this one year commitment).
- Ability to work 5 full days in San Francisco or Corte Madera (having a car is greatly preferred).
