Applications are still open for Georgetown's Pre-Health Gap Year Programs! The Special Master's Program (SMP) for pre-medical students and the MS in Pharmacology program for pre-health and pre-PhD students. Both applications have been extended to July 1st and are accepting students on a rolling admissions basis.
They are also offering The George Squared program, "partnership program between Georgetown University and George Mason University (GMU) designed for all pre-health students needing to strengthen their academic credentials before (re-)applying to health professional schools (medical, dental, PA, etc). The first year of the program is a 20-credit graduate certificate in Advanced Biomedical Sciences hosted by GMU and co-taught by faculty from both institutions with additional instructional support from teaching assistants. Optional MCAT/DAT/GRE prep is also included. Graduates of this program who meet eligibility criteria have the opportunity to transfer credits into the MS in Physiology or MS in Pharmacology programs at Georgetown and complete their Master's degree in the second year. Recommended minimum 3.0 GPA, however applicants with GPAs below 3.0 will be considered on a case-by-case basis. MCAT/GRE is not required." The deadline to apply for this program is July 15th.
