UCSF Global Health Master's Program (Alumni Panel on May 18th!)

Health science opportunities are still available at UCSF!

The UCSF Institute for Global Health Sciences (IGHS) has re-opened admissions for the fall 2021 cohort of the Master of Science program. We recognize that the pandemic and other circumstances may have shifted your plans to attend health professional school or find a health-related job.

If you are interested in global health, we invite you to consider applying for this 11-month, full-time program. The open-application period ends June 30.
Admissions criteria

Competitive applicants have the following qualifications:
  • 3.0 GPA minimum
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of at least one college-level course in each of the following areas, with at least a B grade: 1) mathematics 2) general biology, 3) health-related science, or a second biology course

How to apply

For preliminary consideration, please send the following to education@globalhealth.ucsf.edu:

  • A brief summary of your background and interests, including: 1)  Why you are interested in pursuing an MS in Global Health; 2)  Why you hope to pursue this degree at UCSF, in particular; 3)  What changes have occurred that motivated you to apply at this time
  • A résumé or curriculum vitae (no more than 3 pages) summarizing your education, professional experience, publications, languages spoken, honors and awards, local and international experience, extracurricular interests, and/or special skills
  • Your GPA(s) from your degree(s)

Approved applicants will be invited to submit a full application by June 30, 2021.
