Cedars-Sinai Pre-Med Virtual Volunteer Shadowing Program

The Cedars-Sinai Pre-Med Virtual Volunteer Shadowing program
, offered by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA, offers valuable insights into the path of becoming a physician. The program strives to reach students that may not have the same opportunities for information or exposure to the medical field as others.

Applications for the Spring 2021 rotation have just opened and all pre-med students are invited to apply.

Deadline: December 18, 2020

Program Details:
  • If selected into the core group, volunteers will attend two (2) virtual, weekly meetings Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 - 5:30 p.m.
  • The program invites speakers from all over the country to speak to the volunteers and share their experiences
  • Volunteers will also be given access to Cedars-Sinai's Telehealth system, where they will be able to shadow patient visits with their assigned mentor from the safety of their own home.
  • Volunteers will be able to attend one (1) in-person session in the Cedars-Sinai Simulation Center to get hands-on experience with some of the equipment.
  • The Spring 2021 rotation will begin in February and run for 8 to 10 weeks.
Those who are not selected in the core group will be invited to attend the Wednesday physician talks, so no one misses out!
