Cal Poly's Safer will be offering their 7-week extracurricular Safer Leadership Training (SLT) to students, beginning again in Winter Quarter 2021!
This training series is the first step to becoming a campus leader in gender- & power-based violence response and prevention, and counts as a prerequisite to volunteer, intern, or work for the Safer program as a peer educator. This training will be held virtually over Zoom, utilizing Canvas for reflections and group dialogue. This course is taught through an intersectional social justice & public health lens, focusing intently on anti-supremacy as a foundation to prevention work and will have intentionally developed spaces for self-care, community building, and dialogue.
This course will be held from January 15th to February 26th, meeting on Fridays from 10 am - 12:30 pm.
