Healthcare Goes Green Web Series - College of the Holy Cross

The College of the Holy Cross will be hosting a 4-part discussion-based web series, titled "Healthcare Goes Green," which will explore the connection between healthcare, sustainability, and equity. Participants will learn from practitioners that have successfully integrated sustainability into their own job responsibilities and into their professional organizations.

First, the series will provide contextual knowledge about how climate change impacts health, especially within vulnerable communities. The group will then examine how a specific hospital network has transitioned its approach to sustainability from incremental change to transformational change. Narrowing in, the third session will analyze how energy conservation and green infrastructure contributes to environmentally-friendly healthcare. The series will end by discussing barriers, and possible solutions, to sustainable equitable healthcare, using the Southern Africa region as a focal point.

Want to keep the conversation going? This web series will have a paralleling GroupMe (a desktop/mobile group texting application) that allows for ongoing reflection, learning, and networking.
