Health Equity Research Opportunity in SLO County (Summer 2020)

Dr. Suzanne Phelan and Dr. Marilyn Tseng of the Cal Poly Kinesiology Department are initiating a project to develop a systems-based approach to health equity, building on work that Cal Poly's Center for Health Research is already conducting in Santa Maria and Guadalupe. They are looking to hire one or two students (rising sophomores, juniors, or seniors) to assist in research and/or health advocacy this summer. The position can be full- or part-time, and there is also the possibility of continuing through the academic year. Ideally the student(s) would be from those communities (Santa Maria or Guadalupe). Specifically, they are seeking undergraduate or graduate students who are Spanish speaking; are from Santa Maria or Guadalupe; have an interest in Women's Health; and will be at Cal Poly next year.

Please reach out to Dr. Marilyn Tseng, PhD at mtseng@calpoly.edu for more information.
