Program Spotlight: Zucker School of Medicine Pipeline Program

The mission of the Zucker School of Medicine Pipeline Program (ZPP) at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell is to enhance the matriculation of underrepresented in medicine (URM) students and economically disadvantaged students to the Zucker School of Medicine. The three-year, summer intensive, academic enrichment program is designed to provide high achieving college students who are interest in a career in medicine an opportunity for direct matriculation to the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.

ZPP students who:

  1. Excel in the ZPP and
  2. Demonstrate a strong performance on the MCAT Exam
will be highly considered for direct matriculation to the Zucker School of Medicine.

There is no application fee for this program. Admitted students will receive a $1,750.00 yearly stipend. Housing accommodations and one round-trip fare will be provided for out of state students.

The program will run from Monday, June 22, 2020 through Friday, July 31, 2020, and the application deadline is Wednesday, April 1, 2020, but priority consideration will be granted to students who apply by Sunday, March 1, 2020.
