Change the Status Quo Social Justice Conference

This conference aims to empower students to use the Learn by Doing spirit to challenge social norms, ask critical questions, demand solutions, and make lasting social change. Through guest speakers, inspiring workshops, and engaging sessions, students will leave the conference with a new-found sense and understanding of social justice, and how they can take ownership in their role in moving the needle with regard to social change. This is the 18th annual student-led CSQ Conference hosted by the Center for Service in Action.

Interested in attending to hear from keynote speaker Angela Davis, participate in valuable conversations around topics such as allyship, environment, restorative justice, and white privilege, and learn how to turn your thoughts into action? Register through the Center for Service in Action website!

The full conference will take place from 8 am - 6 pm on Saturday, February 29th, and the keynote will be held from 8 - 10:30 am. Breakfast will be provided for all attendees (yogurt bar with granola and fruit), and lunch and appetizers will be provided for those who purchase a ticket for the entire conference (taco bar).

Tickets are $10 for Cal Poly students, and fee waivers will also be provided to students as requested.
