The AAMC (American Association of Medical Colleges) recently released an article outlining the increasing diversity of applicants and matriculants to United States medical schools, providing hope to a healthcare system that is in dire need of a more diverse workforce. Women are now, in fact, in the majority for both applicants and enrollees, as author Lindsay Kalter outlines in this piece.
